As Handyman/Carpenter, you are a key member of our team responsible for quality repairs, remodeling, and home improvement projects. You will build customer relationships and uphold our standard for excellent customer service. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.

You have a strong background of skilled tradesman experience and have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. You are self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Complete small to medium repairs, remodeling, and home improvement projects
  • Communicate with customers about scope of work and cost estimates
  • Insure the efficient use of materials and maintain adequate stock of necessary equipment
  • Collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed
  • Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition
  • Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required
  • Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Local Handyman services LLC is looking for a Skilled Remodeler which is currently performing high end bathroom and kitchen remodels – Need to have Extensive Tile and Remodeling experience.

Have you owned or managed a home improvement business? Do you leave your customers thrilled? Do you love the craft side of that business, working with customers to turn their dreams into reality, but grow tired of the administration and headaches? Do you find yourself burning the candle at both ends, working a full day with your current customer, and then another half day on estimates required to line up your next job, bookkeeping and administration? Are you getting paid for all that extra time? Are you tired of feast and famine cycles, the demand for free estimates, and tire-kicking callers?

We understand your challenges. We’ve built this business with you in mind. As an employee you’ll focus your time and energy on your current customer, and turning their dream into reality. The office staff manages the marketing, answers calls and qualifies leads, chases payment and deals with insurance and regulatory paperwork. You’ll have a company van and ZERO out of pocket expenses that decrease your take home pay. We provide paid holidays and paid vacation after one year.

As a Customer Service Representative you are a key member of the team and represent Local Handyman Services on customer calls. You are responsible for handling service requests and customer complaints. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees. You are also responsible for doing Local Handyman Services work in the field, as well as job estimates.

You are self-motivated, energetic, and enjoy helping people. You are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • A positive attitude is required
  • A team player
  • Receive incoming calls in professional and courteous manner
  • Return customer calls, respond to customer complaints, and resolve issues
  • Schedule services and dispatch technicians
  • Perform marketing functions to sell additional work and earn business
  • Perform administrative functions including data entry, payment processing, and supply inventory
  • Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions
Job Requirements:
  • Previous customer service and sales experience preferred
  • Local Handyman Services experience a plus in the following areas, drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, tile, roofs, doors, carpentry, remodeling, painting
  • Experience doing job estimates is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate, with working knowledge of work processing, business software and spreadsheet applications
  • Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills
  • Team player who can work independently
